After a few loses you often feel the urge to raise and win some of those lost chips back. Thing is if you try too hard and raise by too much, you sometimes end up losing more…
And this is what happened to me on saturday. I had a really good afternoon playing poker and had grown my chip stack nicely, then I suffered a few loses in a row… didn’t take it too well… thought right you suckers, I’m a gonna get you now…
and instead they got me… you got to be careful of raising too much, when you don’t really have the cards and you’re just coming on aggressive because you are pissed off from losing chips!!!
I went home early and watched some tv to calm down. Watched a bit of sport, the qualification for the Australian Grand Prix was on. Poker has got quite big in Australia. Wonder if they have the same texas holdem rules downunder?? Instead of versions like strip poker, you could have ‘catch-a-crocodile’ poker… ok maybe I’ve been watchin too much tv!! Time to get some sleep…
